Chicago has long been a significant rail hub in the US. The city’s first raised “L” line started service in 1892. Since then, transit-oriented development (TOD) happened as a matter of course. Urban planner Todd Meyer looks at how TOD is shaping Chicago today, from density and development to equity and inclusion and investment and sustainability.
