Also, make sure to stop by the plenary session on Friday, October 26th at 8:30am to catch Simon O'Byrne's Master Talk on the importance of converting older office buildings to new uses. By repurposing these spaces, downtowns can see more positive growth in economic vitality and degree of vibrancy.

Our team is very excited to be partnering with the International Downtown Association on the ground-breaking report The Value of U.S. Downtown and Center Cities (read last year's report here). Look out for new research which will incorporate an additional set of 11 downtown organizations, as well as the release of the first IDA Downtown Vitality Index, powered by Stantec. The index will objectively quantify and benchmark urban districts on key economic, social and environmental factors of downtown vitality using these new data standards and methodology.
